What OS does the sony ericcson K700 sereies use?? Does it support themes from the classic nokia phones??

Thats not really related to this section of the forum, but i'll answer it anyway.

The K700i uses Sony Ericssons own OS and interface. It is not a Symbian device (so it wont run .sis apps), it is not a smartphone, and it wont run anything meant for Nokia phones except for Java games.

I cant seem to download the games from pc to memory card i have the cable that connects to the card reader. i have a sony ericsson S710a -there are 4 files when i open the removable disk (f folder DCIM, MP3, MSSEMC, MSSONY. i have windows 98se and i drag the game files to the "hidden area" and it still doesnt read the file or it wont find the file when i put the card back into the phone. must i only get games from ifrared or bluetooth? most files that i downloaded are from zedge and they are sis. document or jar. document. i know how to use the mp3 player and everything else but it doesnt have a space for me to put the games. o yeah id also like to know what the max memory card slot is for this phone, i never got a straight answer from their site.

forget this reply, i figured out by using somone else's advice, i did save it to the memory card in the mssemc folder and put it in the media files as "others" and then put the card back into my phone, then i went to my media files to look up the "others" folder and i jsut sent the game to myself as mms message, when i recieved the message it came as an attachment and i just saved the attachment to my "games" folder...

ok .. this should work for s710a.. games work great so .. it'll just cost you the a couple dimes to get a free game..

I to have this issue. I Followed etaab's instructions to download games onto my 750i using USB cable but when trying to copy a .jar folder to the relevant area in My Sony Ericsson (to the root of 'Phone Memory') it wont allow it. For example: trying to cut and paste there is not option to paste which ever way I try. Drop and drag is barred (No entry symbol). Any help???

Is there any way that i could pass java games (installer) from my Nokia phone to my K508i phone through infrared and be able to install it?
