i do accept random friendship requests under two conditions "do not ask for msn or ym id and i prefer to chat on gb not pm".

personally, i don't like to collect friends. i think i never send friendship request to anyone here. it's not because i don't want to know them but i'm afraid they will reject me

i keep in touch with one or two persons in my list and i consider myself as friend keeper not collector.

agree with you, grace.

better we become a friend keeper rather being a friend collector. besides, friends are easy to find, but to keep the relationship, it might be a hard task for us. if we being nice to our friend, they will being nice to us too, and thus keep the friendship closer and closer.

Its an obsession, and the people who call themselves "friend collectors" are probably doing it to feel more valuable, because they are not appreciated in real life...They think that a mans value is measured by the number of friends they have...Its not about quantity, its about quality

It's actually pointless to collect friends particularly on SNS sites because while there may be millions of user profiles, only a small handful can be considered as true friends. I don't accept requests unless I really know them.

(Whew, is that long enough?)

BTW, why do they bother about "collecting Zedgers"? Is Zedge gonna award them some sort of like "The Most-Number Friends" of the site or what?

You're right, there's no such that kind of award in Zedge.

hahah agree tat theres no such tat kind of award...
but they do tat cuz they want ppl to tink tat they have lots of frens cuz theyre popular... or theyre cool and stuff...

that's right! maybe they want other people to think they're popular co'z they have so many friends..but the truth is,even they do that they woudn't be popular as what they think..

Maybe some if not all

Pro: To know more of the people around the world

Con: If you have a lot of friends but you barely know one of them then what is the use?

Friendship is measured in quality not quantity

People here said that they were disagree with friend collector but ironically they have become a friend collector themself.
For me , "a friend" is enough. Like my friend ever said , "I'll take friends as long as I can be a good friend for them , and vice versa"
Since I don't think I can keep up with more friends , I closed down all my media such as Gb and Pm , and I'll decline any friend request immediately.
