A lot of it is down to low self esteem people feeling the need to prove themselves, I've seen one guy on here with about 2500 "friends" and only about 50 gb entries, they just want to look popular, I myself, would rather have 5 people in my friends list and 5 people who keep in touch, than 500 people on my friends list and only 5 keep in touch.... but it's none of my business what other people do, if they need approval that's their problem, I talk to everyone on my list at least sometimes, and if they won't do that, I delete them, that's good enough for me

We can actually block other Zedgers?

Can someone offer the steps here??

To block a Zedger, go to their profile and go to Actions, click on 'Block User'.

I always wonder why Zedge membership skyrockets like nobody's business. Are those registered all genuine?? Or some Zedgers actually registered more than one account??

Yes, i already saw about 5 or 6 users creates their 2nd account. Some of them had been banned already.

I dont think that collecting friends is not a bad idea at all nor a bad thing to do. Just as long as the sole purpose of which is to make friends in a good way. Some people would want to look cool , other's would like to prove something to themselves, but for the most part
collecting friends is far better than just having yourself as your own source of strength and inspiration . If someone is offering a friendship
will you turn it down? Just the effort of that person to reach out is a good sign he/she has a good intention and that is to know you better.

Yeah sometimes i feel like a mean person when i just erase someone's request of friendship

But again, i've had not-so-good experience of those ppl who sent friendship request then never stayed in touch with me (i'd contacted them 4 the record, but they never replied)
I believe they just want to have as many friends as possible. It's just about the numbers that mattered for them, not the FRIENDSHIP!

So........ better accept a request when u feel like to accept

I'm just a newbie here at zedge and make a visit from time to time. i got some friendship requests and accepted all of them. I came across someone who only wants to have female friends. I really don't mind actually whether these friend collectors would contact me or not. Probably in the future, we'll have something to work on. A project maybe....as long as it's not a monkey business...

And for as long as they abide by the rules of zedge and portray good conduct, it's fine with me. . .

yea but some are just here for the numbers and dont communicate. thinking having more ppl on their list makes them look popular

I used to be a "Friend Collector", as you well put it I had more than 1300 "friends" Wth? Then i started thinking : what can that bring me? Does someone give me something for having so many "friends" ? Do i feel happy knowing i have so many? And the answer came easily. I believe it's better for ME to have my close friends in my friends list. The ones that keep in touch and i love to keep in touch with. My old friends from my previous profile. The ones who helped me in so many ways i can't even tell.
It's like real life. Maybe it's better to have tens of "friends" and only a few true ones. But i always choose quality over quantity. And i believe that's all it comes down to
